A westbound freight crosses North Avenue in Villa Park Illinois. This is the location of the notorious train versus truck accident as well as the "Train Fire." These former Illinois Central Railroad tracks are now Canadian National but the ownership change did nothing to reconfigure a double grade crossing at a very busy suburban intersection. This train, as in "Train Fire" (link below), is returning a very long string of tank cars to the ethanol works in Iowa. Train was pulled by two engines; NS#2649 and NS#8369
