A walkthrough Proussos Monastery, near Karpenisi, Evrytania, Central Greece.
The monastery was founded in the 12th century AD. It played a very imposrtant role during then Greek War of Independence, during which it was a center of political guidance and a hospital.
Its most treasured item is the image of "Panagia Prousiotissa" which was transferred there form Constntinople during the time of the Iconocalsm (9th century AD)
