Together with The Salvation Army Older People’s Ministries Team in the United Kingdom and Ireland, we’re thrilled to invite you to join Love My Neighbour - a powerful winter campaign designed to bring light, life, connection, and God’s incredible love to older people in our communities.
Why Now? Winter is a time of increased loneliness, especially among those in later life. As the days get darker and colder many older people will people forego their usual opportunities to gather and connect with others, and they'll stay at home.
The loneliness this social isolation causes can have a devastating impact on many older people, even increasing the risk of premature death.
Love My Neighbour is a simple but potentially lifesaving and lifegiving campaign to remind and encourage us all to connect with our older neighbours this winter.
