🚆 Utah Transit Authority - Real Time Journey - FrontRunner - Ogden Central to Provo Central

Описание: Take a ride, in real-time, on the Utah Transit Authority’s FrontRunner commuter rail line from Ogden Central Station to Provo Central Station.

The Utah Transit Authority’s FrontRunner currently runs a total length of just over 81 miles linking communities along the Wasatch Front in Utah from Ogden, through Salt Lake City, to Provo. The FrontRunner forms an integral part of the UTA’s rapid transit network and has connections with all three of the UTA’s TRAX light rail lines and both bus rapid transit lines, the OGX and UVX.

FrontRunner service between Ogden and Salt Lake City began in April 2008 including intermediate stops at Roy, Clearfield, Layton, Farmington, and Woods Cross. FrontRunner was extended north to Pleasant View in September of the same year. In 2018 service between Pleasant View and Ogden was suspended due to low ridership and costs associated with implementing the new federal safety guidelines relating to positive train control. However, with UTA’s long-term vision of extending FrontRunner as far north as Brigham City, the Pleasant View station may once again see service.

The southern extension of FrontRunner, from Salt Lake City to Provo, as well as North Temple Station, opened to the public in 2012 and ridership quickly exceeded the UTA’s expectations. Vineyard Station was added as an infill station in 2022. The UTA plans to extend FrontRunner south from Provo to Payson as part of their long-term vision of expanding and upgrading the FrontRunner service.
