Denis Cyplenkov - The World's Strongest Arms

This is the same condition which is had by people like Nikolai Valuev, Andre the Giant and Maurice Tillet (the inspiration for Shrek). This condition is extremely rare among athletes, because for most people it is a handicap and a problem - it causes joint pain and problems, and can also cause other issues. So to me Denis is one of a kind, because he took a disability, a handicap, and turned it into his greatest strength. In fact, he turned it into so much of a strength, that he became undisputably the strongest left handed armwrestler of all time, and also the world record holder in the biceps strict curl (113 kg/249 lbs)*. In his career, he has defeated the greatest and strongest armwrestlers of his era, many of them with visible ease. With his arms, Denis has not only won trophies. He has crushed walnuts, armwrestled a truck, broken steel chains, juggled kettlebells held 6 people pulling a rope attached to his arm, curled a staggering 170 kg (375 lbs) for reps, and other amazing feats of strength. Altough Denis' dominant arm is his left, he has defeated the greatest and strongest armwrestlers of our time also with his right arm. *Even though Denis' strict curl record has since been broken by Nizami Tagiev, who lifted 115 kg/255 lbs, in my eyes, and also in the eyes of many experts, Nizami's lift does not compare to Denis' lift, because Denis has been using a wide grip bar, with his hands outside his torso, while Tagiev has used an extremely narrow grip, which makes it a lot easier to move the same weight - that is because in a narrow grip curl like this or a hammer curl, the biceps brachii muscle is helped by the brachialis and brachoradialis muscles, which enable a person to lift a heavier weight than in a wide grip curl. In the wide grip curl the biceps brachii muscle is isolated, and is not helped or supported. And Tagiev's hands were so narrow that his knuckles almost touched each other.
