Primary syphilis often presents as a painless ulcer, also known as a chancre, which can go unnoticed if it bursts or heals without discomfort—leading patients to miss early signs and seek help much later.

Secondary syphilis may show up as condyloma lata—broad, moist, wart-like lesions typically found in warm, moist areas of the body. These are highly infectious and often accompanied by other systemic signs.

We also briefly touch upon latent and tertiary syphilis, emphasizing the importance of early detection and treatment to prevent serious complications.
