Benfica Unveils Stunning New Masterplan for Estádio da Luz! 🏟️✨
A bold new vision is coming to life in Lisbon! 🇵🇹 S.L. Benfica has just revealed an ambitious transformation of Estádio da Luz and its surrounding area — led by world-renowned stadium designers @wearepopulous , in collaboration with Lisbon’s own Saraiva + Associados.
🔴 The masterplan includes:
🏟️ A redesigned stadium façade with LED lighting
🎶 A new 10,000-capacity indoor arena
🏀 Two modern indoor halls (2,500 & 1,500 seats)
🏊♂️ A community swimming pool
🎭 A theatre and rooftop football pitch
🍽️ A 10,000-fan plaza with restaurants, DJ deck & more
🏙️ New commercial and residential spaces
📸 A new home for the iconic Eusébio statue
@wearepopulous — who also designed the original stadium in 2004 — is reimagining Luz as a world-class sports and entertainment hub, deeply connected to its fans and the city of Lisbon. 💫
