Taiwanese soprano Li Wei-Wei began studying voice in 2009 and graduated from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music(YST), where she studied under Professor Alan Bennett, Head of Vocal Studies.
Highlights of 2016-2018 included her participation in a series of YST community projects, comprising of performances in Cambodia, Wei-Wei was also invited to sing the solo soprano part in Mozart’s Requiem, as part of the Yale-Singapore gala concert at the Esplanade. She also participated in “Oberlin in Italy”, which happened at the Tuscan city of Arezzo, a program which provides summer training and practical experience for opera singers. Earlier in 2017, Wei-Wei performed as a soloist under the leadership of Maestro Masaaki Suzuki, founder of Bach Collegium Japan. Recently, she also sang as the role of Galatea in opera Acis and Galatea with YST musicians, which is conservatory’s first operatic debut.
Wei-Wei had the privilege of working with many artists such as Maree Ryan, Roger Vignoles, Jan Lund, Daune Mahy and Sead Buljubasic.
