Today I am taking you with me to an orchard in Arthi River. For those of you who do not know the area, it’s an arid place. Meaning very dry with minimal to almost zero rainfall.
Despite the harsh weather conditions, Mwangi the Farmer manages a 120-acre fruit orchard with over 100 different types of fruit trees.
You find fruits like oranges, pixels, mangoes, tangerine, grapes, pawpaw, Hass avocados, pomegranates, apples, the list is endless.
He also practices horticultural crops ranging from cabbages, maize, kales, eggplant, spinach, French beans, red bulb onions, and indigenous vegetables.
We can simply say this is the garden of Eden on the outskirts of Nairobi town.
In our next video Mwangi, the Famer will teach us how to market our products and make profits from every crop.
