I had no idea that I had over 30 blue and purple flowering plants in my New England country gardens to show you. Some of the blue and purple flowers were ones that I planted over the past few years and others I had to research and look up in a couple of gardening books that I had in my home office.

What are some of your favorite purple and blue flowers to plant or use in container gardens?

There are other blue and purple flowering plants I've had at past homes, but I couldn't find any of my old garden photos. They included a purple butterfly bush, balloon flowers, and trilium.
