Welcome to my final race edit of the year from the lovely Oulton Park. A mammoth journey up the A14 and M6 from Essex during Friday rush hour but a blue sky and sunny day greeted up Saturday morning.
A slight drama before qualifying, failing the noise test in the collection area saw a very quick spark plug change by Dad and Gary which was enough to beat the 105db limit. Setting my fastest lap on the final lap to line up P6 for the rolling start at 4pm.
I jumped to 5th into turn 1 before grabbing 3rd on lap 2 after some kerfuffle down into Cascades and a drag race into Island Bend. Some serious defence followed up the pit stop. Exhausting ALL of my track limit warnings before getting a penalty. But I held onto 3rd until the SC ended the race early due to an incident. So pleased to end the year on a high. 2024 has been incredible and I go into the winter very satisfied with how this season has panned out. Huge thanks to Gary Meek and Verpapen who saved the day ahead of qualifying . And to all the support I’ve had online and at the track all year. Some more updates to come 🫡
