প্রায় ১০০ বছরেরও অধিক পুরাতন বীর হনুমানজির জাগ্রত এক মন্দির রয়েছে উত্তর ২৪ পরগনায়। জায়গাটা কাঁকিনাড়া রেল স্টেশনের কাছে, মাদরাল। এখানে রয়েছে হনুমানজির এক শায়িত মূর্তি বা বিশ্রামরত মূর্তি। গোটা ভারতে হনুমানজির এই ধরনের মূর্তি অত্যন্ত বিরল। এই মন্দির অত্যন্ত প্রাচীন। ভক্তদের বিশ্বাস, হনুমানজি সুদূর অতীতে এভাবেই বিশ্রাম নিয়েছিলেন। আর, তাঁর সেই বিশ্রাম নেওয়ার ভঙ্গিমাকেই মাদরালের মন্দিরে পুজো করা হয়। নিত্য পুজো হয় এই মন্দিরে। স্থানীয় বাসিন্দারা বিশ্বাস করেন, এই মন্দিরে পুজো দিয়ে গেলে, সেই কাজ বিফল হয় না। আপদে-বিপদে অথবা সংকটে এই হনুমান মূর্তির কাছে এসেই প্রার্থনা করেন স্থানীয় ভক্তরা। হনুমানজির মন্দিরের সাথে সাথে এখানে রয়েছে গণেশ মন্দির, রাম-সীতা মন্দির, রাধা-কৃষ্ণ মন্দির, অন্নপূর্ণা মন্দির ও শিব মন্দির।

Madral Hanuman Mandir, located near Kankinara railway station in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, is famous for its unique and gigantic reclining idol of Lord Hanuman. This rare depiction of Lord Hanuman, also known as Veer Bajrang Bali, shows him in a resting posture and is positioned about 10 feet below ground level.

The temple also houses separate shrines dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Ram -Sita, Radha - Krishna, Maa Annapurna & Lord Shiva.

The craftsmanship reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region, making the temple not only a spiritual destination but also an architectural marvel.

Outside the temple, visitors are greeted by impressive sculptures, including a large statue of Nandi (the sacred bull of Lord Shiva), Two lion statues mounted on pillars, beautiful peacock statues at one of the main gates.

As per local legends, this temple marks the spot where Lord Hanuman rested during his journey in the Ramayana. It is believed that while performing his divine duties for Lord Rama, Lord Hanuman stopped at this site for a brief moment of rest. This rare depiction of Hanuman in a reclining posture is a unique feature, rarely found in Hanuman temples across India.

The temple is especially vibrant during Hanuman Jayanti, the festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Hanuman. On this occasion, the temple organizes special rituals, including:
