President Cyril Ramaphosa has laid down the law for ANC leaders and government deployees, warning that the upcoming municipal elections will be the party’s most challenging yet. He was delivering the political overview at the ANC’s three-day lekgotla, which got underway yesterday. The president warned that the party would suffer electorally if it continued cutting corners and deploying leaders based on factionalism rather than capacity.
