The Australian Alps, particularly the Victorian Alps, hosts a number of hiking challenges - none more infamous than the Australian Alps Walking Track (AAWT).
The AAWT runs through the length of the Australian Alps over a distance of 650km. Throughout this entire trail there is 1 section that many claim to be the most challenging - the Razor-Viking Wilderness.
While many choose to hike this area as a circuit (or as part of the AAWT), our mission was simply to reach the summit of The Viking after realising we lacked the time to complete the circuit. Even so, the track to the Viking stands as the most notorious across all of the Alps walking track, let's see if it lives up to it's reputation...
