What Is Phonics?

Phonics are a letter or combination of letters that represent one or more sounds that are voiced in a word. There are 72 phonograms total.

Your child/student WILL improve in their reading, spelling and writing skills! The 72 Orton-Spalding Phonograms are the fundamental building blocks of the English language, and without them, it's difficult to be a great reader and to develop a love of reading- which we've seen is a key metric for proper childhood development. Especially for ESL students; they need to know that certain letters (phonograms) in the English language have MULTIPLE sounds that they can make. This is the biggest flaw that I've seen in almost every other non-Orton-Spalding approach, including some of the biggest phonics names you can think of.

Your next question might be, "Why are these amazing products SO inexpensive?!" Because, simply put, I want to give back (while making a few bucks), my Grandma Pauline and my dad Verlynn Adamson (God rest their beautiful souls) put so many pain staking hours into creating the YesPhonics Express line of products and I simply couldn't see them go by the way side, never to be used and appreciated by the fine homeschoolers, teachers, tutors and educators everywhere, the world over... The files are set up professionally (your local print shop will know exactly how to print them and I presume will appreciate you all the more for it) to the point that you can print, cut and collate them yourself, if you like! However, I do recommend a print shop, as the Flash Cards and the Phingo! really shine when they're on a nice sturdy card stock, plus they'll last basically forever if cared for with a little bit of effort.
