Several thousand protest Gaza hunger outside London's Downing Street as Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 59,676, with 143,965 injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted in October 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Friday.
In the past 24 hours alone, Israeli military operations in the enclave have claimed 89 lives and injured 467 others, including nine people who were receiving aid supplies, according to the statement.
Hospitals across the enclave have been admitting patients with starvation-related conditions, while in the Strip, 900,000 children are facing a food crisis, with 70,000 already showing signs of malnutrition.
