The Processional Image of Santa Catalina de Alejandria of Carcar City is under the superior tutelage of Sir Manny Castro — the family-owned ivory image which he succeeded from his uncle. He remembers growing up that during hard times especially the war, his Lola would take the sacred image to wherever they would go hiding in safehouses.
The image takes spotlight during the vesperas foot procession of the City of Carcar where heritage houses open their capiz windows as they wait for the decorated carrozza to pass by.
Special thanks to Sir Manny Castro for allowing us to shoot inside his residence - the Balay na Tisa and the Capilla de Santo Entierro.
