On 1/4/2025 the Army of the Potomac led by General George B. McClellan (Vel) marched to the field of Antietam from Washington he then met General's Lee's forces (Admiral) and soon the two forces fought against each other through the cornfields & forests of Antietam.
After hard fighting and an almost close victory coming from the Union, the Confederacy won the battle with 2955 kills, whilst the union had 2952 kills. The Union was in the lead, but things changed throughout the battle.
The battle was fought near Sharpsburg, Maryland, and along Antietam Creek.
