Volkswagen Japan exhibited the ID.Buzz Pro Long Wheelbase at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, which is being held at Makuhari Messe from January 9th to 11th. The ID.Buzz is modeled after the Type 2, nicknamed the Volkswagen Bus, and is a fully electric minivan that will be introduced to Japan in 2025. The vehicle on display is the ID.Buzz Pro Long Wheelbase, with a total length of 4,965 mm, and a separate Pro model with a total length of 4,715 mm will also be available. The powertrain is a single-motor rear-wheel drive with a maximum output of 210kW (286PS) and a maximum torque of 560Nm (57.1kgfm). The battery capacity is 91kWh for the long wheelbase and 84kWh for the normal wheelbase, and the WLTC mode single-charge driving range is 554km for the long wheelbase model and 524km for the normal wheelbase (WLTC value).
