Have you ever interacted with someone who is deaf or hard of hearing? Hearing people are often unaware of the proper etiquette to use when talking to someone who is deaf or hard of hearing.
Kim Berger is the lead for the Transcribing and Interpreting Team here on the Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus. Below, she discusses proper etiquette hearing people can use when having a conversation with someone who is deaf or hard of hearing!
