A presentation examining the American ‘Seach and Destroy’ missions, a strategy introduced by General Westmoreland’s, that he would pursue throughout 1966 and 1967, to achieve what he called the ‘crossover point’ at which the North Vietnamese were losing more men than they could replace. America sent in its troops on ‘search and destroy’ missions, if necessary deploying its massive firepower: artillery and air power.
