The RAK-9 is a further development of the PAK-9 project, which is in turn derived from the AK47. The bolt travel has been reduced to adapt the operating cycle to the 9x21 cartridge; for the rest, aesthetics, dimensions and general feeling of the gun are the same as the AK47.
The manual safety works like on the real AK47, operating the sheet metal lever placed on the right side of the receiver. Entirely made of steel, the RAK-9 carbine features a 17.3 in / 440 mm barrel and has a matte black finish. It’s also available in a .22 Long Rifle version, called RAK-22, equipped with a 10-round magazine.
