Details of postharvest handling systems for carrots. This training covers two methods of carrot packaging: topped and untopped processing. Learn mechanized digging, selection, bundling, and water bath cleaning for carrots with tops. Discover mowing, handling, washing, and sorting for topped carrots: master sizing rollers, wrapper application, and bag packing. Understand hydrocooling, washing systems utilizing flumes and conveyors, and debris removal techniques. Explore large-scale operations, including box packing, retail bags, and bulk packaging. Training covers automated filling, weight recording, palletizing, cold storage, and using broken carrots for animal feed.
