What is the best trading software with buy and sell signals?

As you know, there are 3 pillars of trading:
1. Strategy
2. Tools
3. Mindset

When I say “Tools”, I’m talking about a trading software that helps me with my trading strategy. And in this video, I will show you how to find “the best one”

I have done “How to find the best…” videos before, for example, “how to find the best broker”, “how to find the best trading strategy” … and every time I do a “best” video, I first define what “best” means.

And for that, I’m choosing criteria that are important to me.
These criteria can be different for you, and that’s fine.

But here are the criteria that I use when looking for “the best trading software”

First of all, trading software needs to support my trading strategy.
And here are the 3 elements of a trading strategy:
1. What should I trade?
2. When to enter?
3. When to exit?

So obviously, “the best” trading software needs to answer these questions.

For “what should I trade”, I want a scanner that scans through all of the stocks that are out there and finds the best one to trade for me.

So Criteria #1 is: Configurable Scanner

Let’s write down the criteria first and then we will compare the 2 trading tools that I personally use.

Next, WHEN TO ENTER

So I want “Specific Buy or Sell Signals”

Next: WHEN TO EXIT
I want to know the stop loss and the profit target

So these are the basic 3 criteria. If a software does not fulfill those criteria, I can’t be “the best”

But let’s dig deeper:
I also would like to know how many shares or contracts I should trade. This is basic risk management, and for me, that’s critical.

Criteria #4: MY Position Size

The next thing on my list is a “trade report”:
I want to know every single trade that occurred over the past year with the exact entry, date, position size, profit target, stop loss and result.

Criteria #5: Trade Report

Finally, you'll need the Performance Report. The Performance Report gives you a summary with some KPIs like winning percentage, ROI, average winning trade, average losing trade, etc.
