Описание: Thomas Tomkins' madrigal Too much I once lamented. Although this piece bears the inscription 'To my ancient, and much reverenced Master, William Byrd' it is actually not written to lament his death (it was written before it) but as with many madrigals it was about Tomkins' lover who had died.

Sung by the King's Singers from their Madrigal History Tour. The score is written in G Major where as it is being sung down a third in A flat major.
