00:05 Starting with this modelling project, I am building a multipart project, series of videos if you will, related to the incredible Fury 2014 film. This first part is related to the the M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" tank, in scale 1:35 from Tamiya.
02:40 The box includes the manuals of the 32 steps model kit and some other papers too. Decals, couple plastic parts, sprue and the rubber tracks.
02:57 Everything seems beautiful and of high quality with many details. Let's go.
03:28 Gluing.
04:19 The lower hull is mostly done. Rear panel now.
05:19 Some of the lower part pieces come together.
06:00 Deflector's time.
06:38 Gluing the return rollers and the drive sprockets.
07:06 Time for the suspensions.
07:40 Combining the fenders with the upper part.
08:10 Keep on going with the upper part and its related details.

10:36 Turret. Did this part off camera. Gluing.
11:14 This I will have to fix with plastic putty.
11:19 Plastic putty, hatches and their windows are done off camera. Gluing.
11:59 Gun.

13:00 Did some masking fluid on the turret's hatch windows and black primer.
14:06 US olive drab.
14:58 Mixed US olive drab with some yellow and white. Airbrushing here and there.
15:22 Painting with rubber & tires and will finish, yes, off camera 😉
15:54 Attaching the wheels.
16:59 Gloss varnish.
17:52 White.
18:23 Some water, a somewhat hard brush, cotton swab and chipping away.
18:45 Off camera painted the machine gun with gun metal gray and the ammo with olive drab.
18:50 Used copper wire 0.4 mm (about 0.0157 inches) that I twisted, couple eyes from another project, black primer to create this wire rope for the tank. Attaching.
19:28 Gun metal gray painting.
19:56 Hull red.
21:04 Black.
21:20 US olive drab mixed with little bit white, sponge and chipping away.
22:40 Mix of dark green, black and brown. More chipping.
23:44 Enamel dark wash and washing. The advantage of this wash is that if you will make an error you can fix it thereafter.
25:14 Brown washing.
26:00 Enamel odorless thinner and cleaning the excess washing.
26:46 Black airbrushing.
27:58 Black washing.
29:47 Yellow.
30:02 Did some work off camera. More details.
31:21 Burnt umber.
32:20 Details. Lots and lots of it.
36:46 Weathering with fine soil mixed with wet ground mud splashes.
38:41 Using special copper wire for jewelry 0.8 mm (about 0.0314 inches) I made these lifting rigs (lifting eyes). Super gluing.
39:08 I added these, off camera (don't get attached to them too much though) 🤣
39:14 Also, I prepared these. Basically the straps are made out of masking tape with a black paint job.
39:24 Placing like so.
39:56 Will have to paint some parts here and there before continuing with the rest.
40:58 Prepared this barrel. Super glue here and on the barrel's bottom. Gluing.
41:13 Repeating the same with these Jerrycans and ammo.
41:46 These will be used as trophies too. Placing more details.
42:17 Off camera, attached this rope. Gluing this chain.
42:47 Did some more rope work. Painting with engine oil stains.
43:51 Oil burnt umber mixed with pigment and doing some kind of wash here and there that as always will look best when it will dry.
44:33 Dark earth pigment mixed with acrylic thinner. Using a brush and the airbrush will sprinkle, like so.
45:06 The mix spreads nicely around.
45:14 Gun metal gray dry brushing in a few key areas.
45:42 Keep in mind what I said at the beginning of the video. I am building a multipart project, related to the incredible Fury 2014 film and this M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" tank will be placed in a related diorama.
