North Korea's state-run television KRT on Thursday broadcast a new video of leader Kim Jong Un riding a white horse at Mount Paektu with his aides in late 2019.
In the footage, which played for around an hour, showed Kim, North Korean first lady Ri Sol Ju and high-ranking officials riding horses in the snow-capped sacred mountain, crouching by a fire, and visiting historical places where the state founder Kim Il Sung stayed.
Mount Paektu, a volcano straddling North Korea's border with China, is sacred to many Koreans, both in the north and south, who revere it as the mythical birthplace of a unified and independent peninsula.
