1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." I believe that 1 Peter 2:9 is letting you know that if you believe that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again for you, you are not just saved and different from others, you are in fact royalty. This world belongs to you and it’s not because of anything that you did or could do, it’s because the sovereign Lord who reigns unchallenged on the throne, chose you and loves you unconditionally. In this monarchy all you need to do is act like the royalty that you are and stand on the truth that you have because it is your God-given destiny to exercise your royal privileges on this earth that were written for you in every chapter of the Bible.
