After many hours of design & fabrication we completed our PVC pipe jet boat, The Longfin Mako - perhaps The World's first such watercraft. We were excited to launch her into the water for the very first time and she floated nice and perfect. With the 1.5HP petrol engine she came to life and started cruising ahead. But she failed to speed up as we wanted which needs to be looked into for corrections and refinements. This first phase was crucial to see how she floats, how the engine controls work any major issues arising etc etc. Overall the launch was a success except for her speed. We will look into the issues and want to be back with her soon.
