Priestly Ordination Diocese of Kumbo 2025

Описание: As the 12th residential Bishop of the Diocese of Portland, Maine, Bishop Robert Peter Deeley, now the Emeritus Bishop of Portland Maine, facilitated a partnership between the Diocese of Kumbo and the Diocese of Portland Maine, USA. This collaboration involves the Diocese of Kumbo providing priests as a gift of faith, known as Fidei Donum, to the Diocese of Portland Maine. Currently, there are over 12 priests from the Diocese of Kumbo serving in the Diocese of Portland Maine

During a significant visit by Bishop Robert Peter Deeley, to the Diocese o KUMBO he officiated at the ordination of two priests in the Diocese of Kumbo, celebrated Holy Mass at St. Augustine College (SAC) Nso with some priests and religious living and working in the diocese of Kumbo, and visited the Nkambe town parish in Donga Mantung Division.


His visit concluded at St. Aloysius Minor Seminary (SAMS) Kitiwum, a pivotal institution for nurturing vocations in the diocese of Kumbo. This mInor seminary has a high percentage of students who pursue formation for the Roman Catholic priesthood after the completion of their secodary education.

On April 28, 2025, the students of St. Aloysius Minor Seminary SAMS Kitiwum warmly welcomed Bishop Robert Deeley in a unique manner. They had a moving liturgical celebration of the liturgy of the Eucharist officiated by Bishop Robert Deeley.


In his Homily, Bishop Deeley expressed his appreciation for the students and highlighted the Diocese of Kumbo as a Church abundant in faith, service, and spiritual life. He encouraged the Minor Seminarians on their Journey to the priesthood describing it as a life of Service. Telling them it will be a great gift to him to come back to Kumbo Diocese for ordinations.
