“The EU has repeatedly imposed illegal unilateral sanctions on Chinese enterprises for alleged links with Russia. China strongly deplores and firmly opposes this and has lodged solemn protests with the EU. We have made clear on many occasions that China is neither the creator of the Ukraine crisis nor a party to it. We have been working actively on promoting peace talks and reconciliation, have not supplied lethal weapons to either side of the conflict, and strictly control the export of dual-use items.”
