AMD's HPC focused event allowed the company to show off Zen 4, Zen4D, CDNA 2 and finally Milan-x.

CDNA 2 is designed for HPC (high performance computing) and is up to 4.9x faster than Nvidia's Ampere A100 server focused card in performance benchmarks.

CDNA 2 is based on stacked chiplet technology, and sports HBM2E.

AMD's Milan-X can upgrade any milan based system (providing you perform a bios update). Milan-X is based on the Zen 3 architecture, but thanks to a huge amount of stacked cache (l3 cache is 3x larger), they've increased performance by up to 66% in some applications versus Milan.

Zen 4 is also based on the TSMC 5nm process. with 96 cores. AMD has stated that Zen 4 Genoa will launch in 2022, although is currently sampling to some customers.
