Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS), conducted the National Road Safety Hackathon 2025, a nationwide innovation challenge aimed at building young innovators to apply AI for Road Safety issues. The Hackathon brought together students, engineers, and problem-solvers from across India to develop AI-powered tools that can support enforcement agencies, infrastructure planners and policymakers in reducing crashes and improving systemic road safety outcomes.
From over 3,700 registrations nationwide, 10 finalist teams were shortlisted for the grand finale held on 15th December 2025. The top three winning teams were awarded a prize pool of ₹1 lakh, along with opportunities to further collaborate with CoERS, IIT Madras.
