You know that feeling when you pick up a really special guitar? I'm not talking about grabbing an instrument and going "oh this is really nice" but that feeling when you play an electric guitar unplugged for 45 minutes. That feeling when you find yourself ranting about really specific details of that guitar to people who DO NOT care for long enough that even you realize it's going long, just because they mentioned that it was pretty. That feeling when you arrange songs that jump between parts of the neck, or chain strange combinations of single note leads with chords just because you know the guitar is so well balanced that it feels effortless. This was my experience with both of these guitars. You guys know me. I am not a Gibson guy. I like my fenders. and my low output single coils. And my offsets. So you can imagine how striking these two must have been for this video to happen (a video that Josh 100 percent didn't ask me to make). I wrapped up my week with these instruments recording dry stems because I KNEW that I needed to make this video. Because JWG guitars (JWGuitars? that doesn't feel right) impressed me on a level that precious few instruments ever have. I hope this very unprepared for video does them justice. I recommend you find one and play it for yourself. Then you'll get it too.
