January 2011. Seseku Solomon Egbe chants Ékpè along with others in the home of Seseku Ojong Orock (b. 1948) in his village, Ogomoko, Eyumojock Sub-Division, Manyu Division. The gathered Ékpè members sing songs a cappella, and then the percussion starts, as members move in procession. Note that an elder woman also joins the dance circle of men. Seseku Orock speaks to the gathering and introduces Seseku Egbe as a visitor. Seseku Egbe presents Orock as the leader of the Ékpè group in the USA. Ogomoko community is neighbor to Kembong, subject of this important book: Hans-Joachim Koloss, Traditional Institutions in Kembong (Cameroon). Trans. Emily Schalk
