⚠ Handy hint:
Instead of driving up to Cairns, many visitors choose to visit Kuranda via the Kuranda Scenic Railway and the Skyrail gondolas. The Kuranda Scenic Railway will always stop at the Barron Falls Lookout and then go on to Kuranda Village.

The train and the gondola are a fun experience, but at the same time you will also see a lot of tourists as well. If you prefer to see Kuranda, the Barron Falls and Barron River boardwalk when it's quiet, you might want to come for a visit before 10am, after 3pm, or on a day when the Kuranda Scenic Railway is not operating.
