Alice Waters has been at the forefront of the 'slow food' movement for decades.
Her restaurant, Chez Panisse in Berkley, California, was amongst the first to place a special emphasis on local, seasonal and organic produce.
Since opening Chez Panisse in 1971, Alice Waters has become a prominent advocate and educator, who started the highly successful Edible Schoolyard Project in the mid-1990s.
She joins Life Matters on her first ever visit to Australia.
