In a significant step towards reconciliation, the Sunyani Traditional Council has reinstated the Paramount Queen Mother, Nana Akosua Dua Asor Sika Brayie II, with immediate effect. Acting President Nana Kwaku Sarbeng announced the decision during a unity press conference, following intervention by the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. This move, part of a roadmap including Alternative Dispute Resolution, aims to restore harmony, recognize traditional roles (including divisional queen mothers), and drive progress in the Sunyani Traditional Area while the Judicial Committee investigates the paramount chieftaincy.
