Metrology is the science of measurement. This webinar deals with:

Metrology in everyday life
• Children measuring themselves, counting currency, weighing yourself, monitor your car speedometer, monitor finances

Metrology in business
• Inventory counts, profits and losses, measure successes and trends

Metrology in industry
Metrology in testing and product certification
• Everything is tested (size, strength, color, temperature, output characteristics, chemical characteristics)
• Confidence that equipment meets requirements. Products (toys, cell phones, etc.,) are certified to enter a country’s markets.
• Accredited calibrations support quantities, weights, etc.,

Traceability and uncertainty
• Traceability comes in traceability of materials and metrological traceability
• Metrological traceability must include uncertainty of measurement
