Описание: It can't be wrong to call this the best version of the Oscar-winning ballad from the film You Light Up My Life (1977). Pretty impressive. Pretty in pink. Salmon pink. Debby Boone's version sold 4 million copies and spent a then record ten weeks at the top of the US Hot 100 chart between October and December 1977. Yet DANA's more thoughtful version never even got released! Joe Brooks wrote the song and the soundtrack, and wrote and directed and produced the movie. Although the film received poor reviews, You Light Up My Life picked up an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, and a Grammy Award for Song of the Year.

Trivia: *Previous video It's Gonna be a Cold Cold Christmas 1975 (FoD#9) was blocked in Dec 2018, SEVEN YEARS after uploading. Other channels still show it, perhaps because they don't have the intro and outro version showing the now disgraced TOTP presenter Jimmy Savile. YouTube said it contained "copyrighted material." So it's too risky to re-upload even without Savile. Maybe try it in seven years. A different version of It's Gonna be a Cold Cold Christmas (FoD#73) was uploaded to replace it.
