Australian brown snakes are deadly venomous elapid snakes. One of them is the Dugite (Pseudonaja affinis). It can grow to about 2 meters and often lives close to people (for example in Perth). Dugite venom is less toxic than venom of the Eastern brown snake (one of the most venomous snakes in the world), but still easily potent enough to kill an adult human.
