Описание: “Dawning” is a fresh start, a new beginning where Kamalini Mukherji, a leading practitioner of Rabindranath Tagore’s songs (Rabindra Sangeet), and Mayookh Bhaumik, an Indian National Award-winning music director, collaborate for the first time to present seven of Tagore’s songs in a unique soundscape that brings a new perspective to these masterpieces.
“Bujhi Oi Shudoore” (“Beckoned me from afar…”) is the first of these offerings. Yudhajit Basu has cinematically interpreted this song and Subha Mukherji has translated the song from the original.

বুঝি ওই সুদূরে ডাকিল মোরে
নিশীথেরই সমীরণ হায় – হায়।।
মম মন হল উদাসী, দ্বার খুলিল –
বুঝি খেলারই বাঁধন ওই যায়।।

Translation
It’s as though the breeze of night has beckoned me from afar: oh alas!
The door has opened ajar, my mind has drifted – absent, fugitive.
There, it seems, go the bonds of play.
