In Nether Alderley, Cheshire stands the archaic church of St Mary's dating back to the 14th Century. Once dedicated to St Lawrence the church was later rededicated to St Mary. The church has strong connections to the Stanley family of nearby Alderley Edge and the site is home to the church, School house dated to 1628 and the mausoleum of the Stanley family built in 1909.
