Malcha Mahal is a hunting lodge built by Feroz Shah Tughlaq on 14thcentury.Malcha Mahal is situated inside the Southern Ridge forest in the delhi. The Nearest metro station is Dhaula Kuan which is in the airport metro line and it is situated 4 km apart from thismahal. If you ever like to visit this Mahal we suggest getting to this place in your own private vehicle and also preferably in groups. This is also near to ISRO-Delhi Earth Station. This Malcha Mahal was resided by the self-proclaimed royal family of Oudh. This palace was off limit for tourists and other people until the death of the palace’s last resident Prince Ali Raza. After the death of prince the entry to this Malcha Mahal become free to all and from that day onwards this place become one of the favorite places in delhi for ghost busters. This place has entered in the list of most haunted places in Delhi and because of that lot of brave ghost hunters are seen here at the night time. This Hunting lodge is surrounded by a thick forest cover. The police use horses to patrol the jungle area once a day. For Over three decades this hunting lodge remained out of bound for the uninvited as the royal family was living inside the Mahal. Only after the death of the last prince the Ali Raza people had started entering the Mahal. 'Kashmir Ghost’ is scribbled on the entrance to the hallway inside this mahal. There are remains of a bonfire in the middle of one of the rooms.For over three decades, Prince Ali Raza lived at this palace with his mother Wilayat and sister Shakina. They Proclaiming themselves as descendants of the Oudh Royal family, the three had refused to leave the 14th-century hunting lodge until the government returned their ancestral property. The Oudh State was a princely state, with a population of around five million people in the Awadh region of North India.
The family stayed in Kashmir from 1962 until the early 1970s, living in housing provided by Mr. G.M. Sadiq who is former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Mrs. Butt and the two younger children left Kashmir in the early 1970s. They then relocated to Lucknow, and demanded the restoration of the properties of Oudh. They now called themselves Begum Wilayat, Princess Sakina and Prince Ali Raza. The state officials offered the family a house, but Mrs. But rejected their offer and eventually relocated to a train station in New Delhi. The family wrote multiple letters to authorities, including the prime minister Indira Gandhi and also to Queen Elizabeth II. Their protest attracted international media attention, and the family was offered a modern residence in 1976 but they refused. In 1984, Indira Gandhi visited the family at the train station and ordered the Home Ministry to look for a suitable place for them to live in. Following this, the government offered Malcha Mahal to the family in 1985. Over the last two years, bats and pigeons have taken over the palace. The liquor bottles, chips packets, and cigarette packets are strewn across the palace suggest that a lot of people are visiting this place. The Crockery, Utensils, Books, Bed sheets and the framed photographs of the family that police spotted on the palace walls on the day Prince Raza was found dead too are missing. The Archaeological Survey of India is yet to take over the fort, but they had recorded the condition of the monument after Raza’s death in 2017 and proposed to restore it. Though the government is yet to take this place, lot of visitors are coming to visit this place. This place is also listed in the most haunted places in delhi. Though we couldn’t find any abnormal paranormal activity in this place but we felt a lot of negative energy in the place.
