The Minister highlighted the significant impact of digital technology on national development and showcased the progress made since implementing the national ICT policy in 2003. The government has been implementing the Digital Ghana Agenda since 2017, aiming to leverage technology to expedite development and establish a strong foundation for sustainable economic growth. Milestones include introducing digital IDs for citizens and integrating mobile money platforms to further financial inclusion.
The Minister stressed the importance of digital skills development for Ghana’s youth and bridging the digital divide to ensure equitable access to technology across all demographics.
