There's soooo much that I love about this track. It's so reflective of Yoko Shimomura's style. Signature arpeggios and melodic lines that I associate so much with the legendary video game composer. I almost wanted to turn this into a Mario & Luigi in the style of Kingdom Hearts arrangement if anything. The rhythmic elements of this remix and my arrangement of the bassier elements reminded me so much of the games like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy XV. It was initially unintended since I originally planned to go for an arrangement closer to the original in terms of percussion - a drum kit for exmaple. But usually if I like a particular idea, I just run with it and see where it takes me!

When I compose, I usually have a very specific idea in my head of something I want to do in the composition. A really specific phrase or section. Same with arrangements too. Quite early on I knew I wanted to have a slow more dramatic section of the arrangement. That's where 1:30 comes into play. The idea was to really present a sense of this being a true grand finale both in the literal sense but also in a musical sense too.

Instrumentation wise I pretty much went all out! All sections of the orchestra feature with a lot of work being put into each part. Brass is present but not too powerful. Percussion is working overtime to assist with the groove and also help with transitions between sections.
