We need the HOLY GHOST to:

1. To Know and Experience God Personally: The Holy Spirit reveals God's presence to us. He is not just a distant power but a personal presence who makes God's love and truth real in our hearts.

2. To Guide Us into Truth: Jesus called the Holy Spirit the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13) He helps believers understand the Bible, discern right from wrong, and apply God’s truth to everyday life.

3. To Empower Us for Holy Living: The Holy Spirit helps us grow in character and spiritual maturity (Galatians 5:22-23 – the fruit of the Spirit). He gives us strength to resist sin and live in obedience to God.

4. To Comfort and Help Us: He is called the Comforter (Paraclete) in John 14:26, which also means advocate or helper. The Holy Spirit brings peace, encouragement, and divine help in times of weakness or suffering (Romans 8:26).

5. To Equip Us for Service and Mission: He gives spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12) to empower believers for ministry, teaching, healing, prophecy amongst other things.

6. To Assure Us of Our Salvation: The Holy Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children (Romans 8:16). He is the seal and guarantee of our salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14), giving us assurance and hope.

The Holy Ghost remains our ESSENCE!!
