WHAT VALUE DOES IT PROVIDE?
De-identified including 2,500 variables catalogued on more than half a million patients who have received care at Moffitt can be queried through the new self-service tool, MCAP Explore in order to drive:
• Clinical quality improvement
• Precision medicine
• Understanding patterns in treatment costs
• Identifying health disparities
• Assessing the feasibility of conducting research studies and clinical trials
• Using real world data to discover novel drug targets and prognostic factors
In addition, MCAP will:
• Serve as the foundation for automated reports and dashboards for operations
• Provide the technology platform for advanced data science, such as the development of machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms
• Facilitate secure data sharing across teams within Moffitt as well as with our outside collaborators
