Instead of repeating layouts or shapes, repeat a material — book paper, fabric, or cardstock — to create quiet consistency.

This is my third series of One Simple Thing, we slow down even more and focus on gentle foundations that support calm, meaningful junk journaling.


Each prompt in this series is designed to remove pressure, quiet decision-making, and help you create with confidence — without starting over or doing more. These small, intentional ideas build on what you already know and love, encouraging trust in your instincts and space to breathe on the page.

This series isn’t about perfection or finished pages.
It’s about noticing what feels peaceful, allowing pages to unfold naturally, and honoring the creative process as a place of rest.

Whether you’re brand new to junk journaling or returning to your journal after a long pause, these simple prompts are here to remind you that creativity can be gentle, flexible, and deeply personal.
