Another demonstration of the removal of the foam from a Philips Dreamstation GO travel CPAP machine.
There is so much red tape around the supply and approval of these machines because they are medical devices so this video can only be provided for education purposes.
The machine doesn't generate much more noise without the foam but clearly it's much more healthy.
NOTE: Philips did recall and replace the machine featured in this video. Unfortunately this resulted in a more noisy machine, so either they provided a refurbished replacement unit that had more hours on it than the original with a reset counter or something else had changed in construction.
For an opinion - just remove the original foam and forget the recall on the DSG if your machine has low hours.
